Seeing people return wholeheartedly to industry events has been an exciting thing to witness over the past year. We honestly didn’t know until we got out on the road just what the return would look like. Seeing the crowds come out in force in San Antonio was a company highlight of the summer for us.

Sod Solutions attended the 2022 TNLA Conference on August 10th-12, 2022 at the Henry B Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, TX. Our booth was bisected, one side featuring Sod Solutions turfgrass varieties found in Texas and the other, two new turfgrasses developed by the Texas AgriLife Research Program. Those two varieties were Innovation® Zoysiagrass and Cobalt™ St. Augustine.

“We really enjoyed networking with everyone at the TNLA Conference in August. The show was heavily attended by interested landscape industry professionals that were eager to learn about our licensed turfgrass varieties. We are glad we could exhibit our new grasses from Texas A&M and already look forward to being back in San Antonio next fall,” said Sod Solutions Executive Director of Production, Joel Lane.

The three-day event was a perfect opportunity to showcase Cobalt which was released earlier this year. Cobalt was developed as a new drought and disease-tolerant St. Augustinegrass. Innovation is a finer-bladed cold tolerant cultivar that will expand zoysia in the transition zone.
